ICIA Career Development Seminar with ISU CSSA |

ICIA held a career development seminar hosted by ISU-CSSA (Chinese Student and Scholar Association) at Gilman Hall of the Iowa State Univer-sity on April 2, 2011.One purpose of this event is to initial a long-term connection between ICIA and ISU-CSSA, to provide help to whole body of Chinese students & scholars at ISU. A series of presentations were given by Dong Zhanshan, Wei Jun, Shi Ainong, Zhao Zuo-Yu, Zou Jijun, Jin Jian and Huang Lei. The attendances and presenters enjoyed the communication. |

祝贺先锋华人科学家赵建周获2010年国家科技进步二等奖
Dr. Joe (Jianzhou) Zhao, research scientist at Pioneer, A DuPont Business, has won a National Science and Technology Progress Award of China, which is issued by the State Council of China. Zhao was a major contributor on a team for a Bt cotton insect resistance management program in China with the Institute of Plant Protection, Chinese Academy of Ag Sciences (CAAS).
The National Science and Technology Award was launched in 1985. The most recent award ceremony was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Jan 14, 2011, with several top Chinese Government leaders in attendance. ICIA members honored in the DuPont Volunteer Recognition program |
|

DuPont honors employees in the DuPont Volunteer Recognition program each year. Established in 1998, the program recognizes employees or teams of DuPont employees who devote their time and talents to improve the quality of life in their communities. On behalf of each honoree, $1,000 is donated to the organization that received the community service.
Two ICIA members, Zuo-Yu Zhao and Zhanshan Dong, have been recognized in the program. Zuo-Yu is a director of the ICIA Board and the honor principal of Iowa Chinese Language School (ICLS). Zhanshan is the president of the ICIA. Congratulation to Zuo-Yu Zhao and Zhanshan Dong, the winners of 2010 DuPont Volunteer Recognition Program!
